I have been confirmed for two more shows:
CCAF (Cambridge Comic Arts Festival) in Cambridge, Ontario, taking place on May 4th, 2013! It’s free admission, so if you’re in the area come by and check it out!
For more info on CCAF, please visit http://www.cambridgelibraries.ca/ideas/cambridgecomicartsfestival
Aaaand…Small Press Expo (SPX) in Bethesda, Maryland, USA!! It will take place from September 14-15, 2013! My first show outside of Canada; I’m sooo excited! SPX, as its name suggests, is a venue for indie comic and graphic novel publishers. Please come visit if you get the chance; I keep hearing it’s a wonderful show and I’m itching to finally experience it!
For more info on SPX, please visit http://www.spxpo.com
Well, that’s it for the time being…if anything else comes up, I’ll let you know!
I’m scheduled to exhibit at the Toronto Indie Arts Market, and Con Bravo! this year. If/when other shows come up, I’ll be sure to let you know!
The Toronto Indie Arts Market (sponsored by TCAF!) will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 10:30 to 4:30. It will feature not just art and crafts, but small press, music, food, fashion and other cool things created by Toronto-area individuals. Please come support independent artists!
And as for Con Bravo!, this will be my third time as an exhibitor!! I highly recommend this show: it caters to gamers, cosplayers, comic fans, anime fans, internet culture, artists, animators, etc. etc. etc. It will take place from July 26 to 28.
For the TIAM I won’t have any new books other than my three Fall on Me volumes, but I hope to have new art prints, possibly.
That said, though, the Princeless anthology volume where I contributed a 7-page comic should be out by June of this year, so I hope to have some copies in time for ConBravo!. I’ll keep you guys posted once I know for sure!
So, if you’re in the area for one of these or both, please come by and say hi!
Hello everyone! Just wanted to share a couple of things with you:
My webcomic Fall on Me will start again on February 20th! The updates will be limited to just one strip a week, but it’s better than nothing! Be sure to come by to read!
February 2nd was Hourly Comic Day, and I’m happy to say that I participated this year for the first time! To check out my work, please visit my Tumblr post about it: http://adrianalikestea.tumblr.com/post/42098323537/my-hourly-comic-day-contribution-my-first-one
If you don’t know what Hourly Comic Day is, here’s some info: http://www.hourlycomic.com/content/hourlycomicday
Just a bit ago Amber Dalcourt from Evil Ink released a podcast roundtable discussion with Julie Faulkner, Dara Gold and myself, where we discuss Developing an Artistic Style. Have a listen!
That’s it for now! Don’t forget to check out my Fall on Me Facebook fan page, my Twitter and my Tumblr accounts for more frequent updates!
Sorry things have been quiet around here, but I’ve been pretty busy with work lately, which is a good thing! I’m currently working as a storyboard revision artist (yay!), which hasn’t allowed me to update a lot, however…
1. My comic strip Fall on Me (in hiatus since last April) has been picked up by Cape Cod’s The Funnies newspaper! The Funnies is a free monthly publication that showcases comics from various artists. If you’re in the area, please keep an eye open to pick one up!! They’ve started publishing my strips from the very first one since this past October, and should go on from there. So exciting!
To know where to find The Funnies, check out the following locations:
2. Back in September I was asked to participate in a Princeless collection of short comics due to be released next year! With Princeless being one of my favourite comics, I was super-thrilled! Other amazing artists have also contributed their awesome talents to this collection, so I can’t wait for it to come out in print.
In the meantime, here’s a teaser panel done from my story. The colours were graciously provided by the amazing DjGomita!
Well, that’s it for now! Until next time
