If you’re looking for book suggestions, my favorites are:

“Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” by Jonathan Safran Foer – A young boy finds a key in a vase owned by his father (who died in the Twin Towers) and makes it his mission to find where the key fits. It’s funny and quirky and heartbreaking all in one.

“The Road” by Cormac McCarthy – A father and son travel across a decimated America (there was some unnamed destructive event) trying to dodge cannibalistic tribes of survivors while scrounging for supplies. It’s a super page-turner about two people trying to keep their humanity in a lawless world. I just read it again this week and it is devastatingly good. Especially heartwrenching for anyone who has kids.

“Seven Tattoos” by Peter Trachtenberg – An awesome memoir by a guy who tells his life story as a drug addict, writer, and world-traveler through the tattoos on his body, one chapter to each tattoo. I’ve read it dozens of times and I always laugh and tear-up at the same spots. Stunning.

    Good luck and awesome comic!
