NOTE: No, he did not put the empty container back in the fridge in real life!! He put it next to the sink. =P

I feel like sharing the rice pudding recipe I use:
3 cups of milk
1 1/2 cups of rice
1 can of condensed milk (300 mL)
1 or 2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Ground cinnamon to taste
Put milk and cinnamon stick(s) in a pot over medium temperature; add the rice and stir with a wooden spoon until it starts to boil. Let it boil for a few minutes (2-3), then lower the heat to a simmer and stir occasionally until it starts to thicken (not too thick!). Add the condensed milk and the vanilla (make sure that the rice is soft enough first; if not, let it boil a bit longer…you may need to add more milk) . Let it sit for a while, stirring occasionally so it won’t stick to the bottom, until it reaches desired thickness. Don’t let it dry too much!

Sounds yummy. I may be making rice pudding this afternoon. What a treat! I haven’t had that since I was a kid.
Oh yum! Well, enjoy
I don’t blame him in the least. Rice puuuuuuudddinggggg……
Ha ha, and he put the dish covered back in the fridge? Oh man that’s just cold. XD
Putting back the empty dish is just Not Cool. Though it can occasionally be entertaining
He didn’t put it back in the fridge…he just put it next to the sink.
MMMMMMMMM Rice Pudding! Never has a chance to go bad.
Hope you didn’t mind my copying and pasting this in mine and my wife’s recipe book.

(yeah, I cook a little… mostly pies… with store bought crust…
Not at all; by all means go ahead and copy away
It’s very easy to make.
Hi,
love the comics. Nice work! One can really get a feeling for the attitude & character of the corresponding real persons. That’s not easily well done.
About the recipe: just how much is a ‘can’ of condensed milk over there?
I’ve seen them in different sizes pretty much everywhere I’ve been.
Thanks and best of luck to the both of you,
Bormo
The cans I use are 300 mLs, but I’m sure a bigger can can’t hurt; depending on how sweet you want it…
Thank you for your lovely comment
Yeeeeeeah, consideration is overrated.
Hey,
Awesome comic today along with many others, I can’t stop reading them
Also thats really sweet of you to post the recipe, I can’t wait to try it out
Thank you
Yum. We make it with coconut milk & crushed pineapple for Pina Colada Rice Pudding!
Ooo that sounds good; I’ve never tried it!
I’ve done the same thing with ice cream. Unlike regular milk, coconut milk won’t curdle because of the acidic pineapple juice. Either tastes even better when you make the adult version – with alcohol. On that note, an Irish Cream & Kahlua parfait also makes for a fast and yummy desert, and can be had for a quick stop at a liquor store and a swing through the McDonald’s drive-through.
