I am putting in my $0.02 to say that I am Canadian (SK) and have never seen milk in a bag. :)

    • adriana

Aw really? Then do we just have them in Ontario, then…?

      • ODemon

Sorry, but the milk in a bag is not a Canadian thing :)
Here (in Hungary) we have this since the 1960′s. Unfortunately nowadays it’s starting to disappear, but when I was a kid (in the middle of the ’80s) it was common :)

    • adriana

Well I stand corrected! :) Thanks for the info!

  4. Sarinarenee

Is it the same as the canned milk in the States?

    • adriana

I guess…? We can find cartons of milk up here too, but I’ve seem most people get their milk in a bag around here…

  5. Trista

I grew up in SK and I remember having them as a kid, but they definitely aren’t around here anymore. I’m pretty sure that they are still in the Eastern provinces though.

  6. AkogareZephyr

It used to be a Canadian thing, but I find that it is only found in Ontario and possibly further east like Quebec, etc. It’s not being sold anymore in the prairies over for about 20ish years now. There’s a bit of history in there somewhere. Hahaha.

Anywho, I enjoyed the comic. I would love to make myself a green tea milkshake one day. That sounds so delicious.

    Keep up the great work.

    • adriana

Wow, never knew the history of the milk bag could be so deep ;)

      Thank you :)

  7. Luli

Oh, they have milk bags in Argentina, too. :)
And thanks for the recipe, I definitely have to try that!

  8. Ceda

Sounds great, but can you make it with regular milk? I don’t think I’ve ever seen milk in a bag in Florida…XD

    • adriana

Haha, milk in a bag = milk in a carton ;)

  9. TheDeepDark

They bag most milk in China as well. Where you can get milk at all, anyway

    • adriana

Oh wow, I didn’t realize that milk in a bag was this common around the world! I never saw them in Venezuela while growing up (except for powdered milk in a bag) and certainly never in the U.S. Go figure!

  10. RG

    Wonderful recipe!

When we lived in Spain, our leche came in a box.

  11. Kia

What’s powder Green Tea? Is that like, the “make your own Ice Tea” powder?

    • adriana

No no, you don’t have to make it yourself! :) Japanese powder green tea, or “matcha” is something you can buy in stores. Here’s some info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matcha

    • Kia

hmmm… I’ll have to find where I can buy that around here… (Netherlands)
But I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaally want to try the recipe ^^

  12. Carrie

Ahhh yea, Ontario, I always get paranoid cutting the hole for the milk bag….I made it too big last time now I’m gunshy :P

    • adriana

aww haha, I know what you mean XD

  13. Shloz

Love your comic! So sweet and real!

We have milk in a bag here in Israel, too. There are also cartons, but the bags are cheaper :-)

    • adriana

Thank you; glad you like it! :)

Yeah, thanks to this comic I’ve learned that milk in a bag is apparently everywhere! :D

  14. Dutchguy

Hey! we have milk in practically every thinkable form in Holland (Europe) I agree =)

  15. Stjerne

Hmm originally, I thought milk in a bag was the Parmalat stuff that last longer than regular milk.

However, I see now its just alike the carton.
