As many of you already know, since I work on weekdays my only time to draw new comic strips is during the weekend…meaning if I dare have too much of a social life on weekends (gasp) ;) I end up cutting my comic-making time. This last weekend, for example, I spent my Sunday to see some friends who were in town during Memorial Day…which was a lot of fun, but meant this Friday’s comic didn’t get drawn then. Now I’m using bits of my time after work to finish it up, which works, but isn’t ideal.

Well, this upcoming weekend Alex and I are going out camping with some friends, which means no comics whatsoever will get drawn during that time! Which of course messes up the following week’s update, since there would be none.

When I took a break during Mother’s Day weekend, I made a guest art/comic call…I’m thinking of doing that again, but I’m not sure if doing another guest art run so relatively soon would be a good idea or not. Then again, I can’t think of what else to do.

The sooner I can make up my mind the better, that way if I do make a guest art/comic call people will have enough time to draw and submit stuff for next week.

If not, I can just put a “Gone Camping” placeholder in the meantime ;)

So…thoughts, ideas?

The first idea, you can try to find a weekend to draw some buffer (i’m sure there’s a lot of sturyes you haven’t yet told us :)
And the second one, we draw you a buffer of guest comic strips and fanart and you post it occasionally now and then

p.s. i’m just a silent reader, but i’ve been reading Fall of Me for quite some time and now it’s a chance to tell you what a great piece of work you’re doing here!

I do have a buffer of stories…they’re just not drawn out yet ;) That said, though, I keep wanting to draw a few strips ahead so things like this wouldn’t happen…argh, someday =/

And yeah, I already had a guest art week a couple of weeks ago that went really well, but now I’m wondering if doing another one already is a good idea or not. That’s mainly my “dilemma”…

And thanks; glad you enjoy the comic and thanks for commenting! Don’t be a stranger :)

Sometimes something unavoidable happens. In my opinion skipping for a week won’t be that big of a deal. I would suggest posting your “gone fishin’” sign and have a great camping trip.
It can be nice to discover new comic talent via guest strips occasionally. But really I read your strip because of your art and writing. And since I read it via the RSS feed I’d be happier not to be reminded every day for a week that I’m having to miss out on that. If you just don’t post any updates for a week it’ll be a happy reminder when you’re back that I enjoy reading your comic.

Aww fair enough! Yeah, this is mainly why I thought of asking you guys about another guest art run so close to the last one…duly noted :)

      Thanks!

The placeholder’s fine. I’m not going to stop reading because you went on vacation! ;)

Hope you have a good trip!
